  • The Birmingham Stopper Company was founded in 1892, specialising in the manufacture of metal stoppers.
  • By the turn of the century, the company had:
    • entered the cycle industry, producing innovative components
    • renamed itself The Birmingham Stopper & Cycle Components Company.
  • During the twentieth century The Company continued to encompass more industries within its customer base.
  • In 1992 (centenary year) The Company reverted back to its original name.
  • During the last few years, Birmingham Stopper has invested substantially in:
    • high tonnage, large bed-area presses
    • transfer presses
    • CNC Laser Cutters
    • CNC machining centres
    • CNC punch presses
    • CNC press brakes
    • CNC wire-eroders
    • surface grinders
    • robot welders.
